One of the most fun activities to do during your holiday is to immerse yourself in the local cuisine. A delicacy not to be missed during your Portugal adventure is the famous pastel de nata: a puff pastry filled with custard, baked in the oven. Maybe you have already tried one with coffee and you have fallen in love with this pastry just like I did.
In Lagos, you can learn to make this delicacy in the show kitchen The Kitchen during a workshop on preparing pastel de nata! During a two-hour workshop, under the guidance of chef Joana, you will learn how to make pastel de nata in the traditional way, so that after your holiday you can serve this Portuguese delicacy to your family and friends at home.

In the centre of Lagos, right next to Praça infante Dom Henrique you will find The Kitchen , a cooking studio where cooking workshops are organised by Joana and her team. Up to ten participants per session can learn how to make Pastei (plural of Pastel) de Nata according to the traditional recipe during her workshop. From the correct preparation of the dough to the making of the delicious filling.

- Including an accompanying glass of Portuguese Port;
