Wat is Slide & Splash Algarve?
Slide & Splash Algarve is one of the largest water parks in Portugal and therefore a popular daytime activity for families visiting the Algarve. Located near Lagoa, about twenty minutes drive from Albufeira, this water park has several swimming pools and slides as well as a number of animal shows & catering facilities.
Although the park opened its doors in 1986, new slides are added and renovations are carried out every few years to keep the park in excellent condition. The latest addition was in 2022, when the Boomerang , Race and Big Fall slides were opened, as well as lawns with reservable lawns.
What to do in Slide & Splash Algarve?
Slide & Splash has about 20 slides and different sizes and depths of swimming pools. These are the most important facilities of the water park in one overview:
- Several swimming pools of different depths;
- Open slides;
- Tunnel slides;
- Slides that you can ride down with an inflatable tire, alone or with several people;
- Several catering facilities with hamburgers, pizzas, sandwiches, salads and lasagnas;
- Sunbathing areas;
- Fish spa and massage options (exclusive);
- Lockers (not included);
- Parasol and sunbed rental (not included).
How much does Slide & Splash Algarve cost?
The entrance fees for Slide & Splash Algarve vary depending on the season and whether you buy at the door or online. These are the entrance fees:
- A standard day ticket for an adult costs €35.00 at the door and €32.00 with online discount;
- An entrance ticket for children under 10 years old costs €27.00 at the door and €24.00 with online discount;
- An entrance ticket for seniors (>65 years) costs €27.00 at the door and €24.00 with online discount;
- Small children under 1 meter tall can enter for free ;
- Extras such as sunbeds and parasols can only be paid for on location.

In high season, I recommend booking a few days in advance, as the number of guests they allow in per day is limited.

You can get a discount on your entrance ticket for Slide & Splash by booking your tickets online in advance. This means that a ticket costs €3.00 less for adults and €2.20 less for children during high season. In addition, you do not have to queue for a ticket upon arrival. Slide & Splash opening hours 2025
Slide & Splash waterpark has different opening hours during the season. As a rule of thumb, the park always opens at 10:00 and stays open until at least 17:30. Closing times vary:
- Vanaf 8 mei t/m 31 mei is Slide & Splash dagelijks geopend van 10:00 tot 17:00;
- Vanaf 1 juni t/m 30 juni is Slide & Splash dagelijks geopend van 10:00 tot 17:30;
- Vanaf 1 juli t/m 6 september is Slide & Splash dagelijks geopend van 10:00 tot 18:00;
- Vanaf 7 september t/m 13 september is het park dagelijks van 10:00 tot 17:30 geopend;
- Vanaf 14 september t/m 31 oktober is het park dagelijks van 10:00 tot 17:00 geopend;
- Het park sluit voor de winterstop op 1 november.

It is possible to get to Slide & Splash by public transport.
– From Albufeira: Bus 13 or 14 from
Albufeira Bus Station
– From Faro: Bus 57 from
Terminal Rodoviário Faro to Lagoa, and then walk 2 kilometers or wait for bus 107. Or take the train ‘
R ‘ from Faro to Estombar-Lagoa and then walk 800 meters
– From Portimão: Bus 13 or 14 from
Portimão (Guanaré) or take the train ‘
R ‘ from Portimão train station to Estombar-Lagoa
– From Lagos: Bus 56 or 57 from
Lagos Central Bus Station to Lagoa Terminal Rodoviário and then take bus 13,107 or 113 or walk the 2.1 km. Or take the train ‘ R ‘ from Lagos train station to Estombar-Lagoa and then walk 800 meters.
I recommend bringing plenty of sunscreen and optionally a hat and sunglasses. You are allowed to bring your own food, with the exception of glass (e.g. beer bottles). (Inflatable) balls & pets are not allowed.
