A fun and exciting activity to do in the Algarve is parasailing! Hang alone, together or with three people from a parachute while being pulled by a speedboat above the beautiful blue ocean of the Algarve. Parasailing in the Algarve can be done in Albufeira and you can do it from €35.00 per person.

Parasailing in Albufeira

Parasailing in the Algarve is organised from the marina in Albufeira by AlgarExperience. After a short explanation with safety instructions you will be taken to the Algarve coast to take off from the platform on the boat while being pulled by the speedboat!

In total you will hang for about ten minutes at a maximum height of 80 meters and you can enjoy the view over Albufeira and the open ocean. On a clear day you can see a number of other places and beaches in the distance and with a bit of luck you can even spot dolphins swimming by!

How much does parasailing cost in Albufeira?

In high season parasailing in Albufeira costs €35.00 per person. A maximum of 3 people can hang from the parasail at the same time. In low season the price drops slightly to €30.00 per person. All in all, the activity takes about an hour.

What is the minimum age for parasailing?

There is no minimum age for parasailing, but there is a minimum height of 110cm. Furthermore, this activity is not recommended for pregnant women and people with a fear of heights, unless you want to overcome this fear!

Good to know about parasailing in the Algarve

Parasailing is partly dependent on the wind. If there is little wind, it is possible that you can parasail with a maximum of 1 person at a time. If there is no wind at all or stormy, the company will contact you to reschedule your reservation.

On the water, it can be quite rocking, especially when there are waves. If you are prone to seasickness, it is best to take a tablet a few hours in advance!
